I became a LOOB member last Feb. 2007. Joining LOOB was one of the unforgettable experiences I ever had. At first, I was very nervous and silent 'coz I still didn't know what I should do and how to deal with the Japanese campers and other filipino volunteers. I thought it was hard to communicate or to deal with them but they prove me wrong coz Japanese campers were very friendly and fun to be with.

　After knowing them all, I started talking and joking and having fun with them. I really enjoyed their company. From them, I learned many things about Japan, their culture, language, beliefs and way of life.

　Workcamp is not just about fun and enjoyment but also to help. LOOB projects are primarily to help and benefit many people. During the first day of our work, I was so amazed that Japanese campers really work hard and exert their effort in helping to make the project a success. I was so happy that Japanese and filipino campers cooperated and helped one another for the success of the project.

　I'm so proud of myself coz I was able to help other people in my own little way, helping them without expecting any return. During my first homestay, I experienced how hard their life is, but I'm still happy that I have new parents and also enjoyed playing with my foster brothers and sisters. Our nanay treated us as her own children. I will not forget them coz I really had a nice experience with them.
