June - School Feeding
味の素の助成を受けて、小学校の栄養不良児に給食を配給しています。2年を経て基礎的な栄養知識もついてきて、食べ残しもかなり減ってます。教育は毎日の積み重ね、ということを実感します。A 2-year program funded by Ajinomoto, feeding not just the body but the minds of the children as well - with regular lectures about proper nutrition, hand washing and tooth brushing.

July - Fair Trade
フィリピンのごみから作られたジュースパック製品たち。スタッフのCheriがLOOBハウスの子ども達をモデルに撮影会を開催しました。製品のプロモーションに一役買ってくれるを期待しましょう。“From trash into fashionable bags”
Doy packs left as trash are recycled into bags and other accessories. Cheri, a Japanese volunteers asked some kids to become models.

August - Workcamp
学生団体との提携で1年に10回ほどのキャンプをこなします。建設ワークや交流アクティビティを通して、言語を超えた仲間になります。信頼関係が厚いためキャンプ後もプロジェクトが大切にされています。“ Unity in Diversity”
Every year we have at least 10 work camps with volunteers from Japan, Korea and of course the Philippines. Community development projects ranging from construction of livelihood centers to mangrove reforestation are accomplished through unity and cooperation, in as much as language barriers are resolved and strong bonds of friendship are forged.

Semptember - Donation
毎月、日本からたくさんの物資が到着します。ボランティアが箱詰め作業を行い、農村部の組織に衣類などをお配りました。9つの重たい段ボールを村の子ども達が運んでくれました。“A box of hope” boxes were received as donations to LOOB and distributed to depressed areas. Kids volunteered to carry the box going to their village.

October - Halloween Party
LOOBのスタッフ＆ボランティアで初めてハロウィーン仮装パーティをしました。最初は大人は恥ずかしがって参加しないのでは？と思っていましたが、その心配は見事に裏切られ、夕方には気合いを入れたおばけ達が大集合！The magic of make up made our Halloween costume party more interesting. The first costume party held in LOOB house. Staff and volunteers made an effort to create their own costume and enjoyed the whole creepy night.

November - Child Minding
カラフナンの多目的ラーニングセンターで新たに始めたChild Minding（学童保育）。日本人が丁寧に英語に翻訳した日本の絵本をスタッフのKAYOが読み聞かせています。たくさんの良いストーリーに触れてほしいですね。“I believe the children are our future, teach them well…” A phrase from a popular song. That reflects the idea of our program “Child Minding”. Kayo one of our volunteers eagerly tells a story.

December - Kids Christmas Party
日本から贈られたピアニカは2年間で350台。初めて鍵盤に触れる子ども達のため、毎週音楽教室を開き、LOOBのキッズクリスマス会で立派に演奏できるまでになりました。この真剣な表情を観てください！Christmas carols filled the air, as the Namucon kids performed a song with pianica during Christmas party. “Thank you Norika sensei”.
