■What's Loob

"Love Our Own Brethren (LOOB) Inc." founded in 2001 in Iloilo City, Philippines, is a non-stock, non-profit, non-government organization duly registered with the SEC No. E200122424. We're presently operated by approximately 30 Filipino and Japanese staff and volunteers. “LOOB JAPAN”, the voluntary organization in Japan established to support LOOB Inc., has about 50 active members with branch activities in Hokkaido, Tokyo Osaka, Nagoya, and Fukuoka.

■Mission

We recognize that the integrity of an individual's spirit and his solidarity with the community are the major catalyst for progressive social change and development, thus we take it as our mission to encourage reciprocal learning and mutual understanding between the countries through cultural and educational programs, as a way of contributing to sustainable social progress.

■Objectives

We aim to promote grass-roots inter-cultural and educational exchange between Japanese and Filipino youths, and support for the self-independence of the marginalized sector. Our concept for the global/inter-regional cooperation is for mutual growth thru sharing, learning and experiencing the real life of the local community”.
